The Money Advice Service (MAS) is an independent service, set up by government to help people manage their money. It does this directly through its free and impartial advice service and working in partnership with other organisations to help people make the most of their money.
The Money Advice Service Debt Advice Project (MAS DAP) previously called Face 2 Face, is a well-established project assisting clients to deal with their debts and to get back on track with their lives.
Project funding awarded to Burnley & Pendle Citizens Advice to deliver this service has enabled our charity to employ four Advisers whose time is dedicated to dealing with debt issues by way of providing high quality up to date information, advice and advocacy for people struggling with repayments and with money matters.
Last year we saw 858 clients with debt issues.
